Klimas HeadshotJacqueline Feldscher is an award-winning reporter in Washington, D.C., who covers national security and space for POLITICO.

She helped launch the POLITICO Space newsletter in April 2018 and currently authors the newsletter, which has grown to publish three times a week.

She previously worked at the Washington Examiner, where she was part of the team that wrote the daily newsletter Daily on Defense, and covered national security issues on Capitol  Hill and at the Pentagon.

After completing her bachelor’s degree at Boston University, she attended the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, where she concentrated in health and science reporting. She began her career at The Navy Times as a staff writer.

She was named one of HillVets top 100 most influential people for veterans in 2014 for articles she wrote while working for The Washington Times that “shaped the narrative and paved the way for passage of the Veterans’ Access Choice and Accountability Act.”

She was a also member of the Washington Times team that covered the Navy Yard shooting, which won awards from the Virginia Press Association and the Society of Professional Journalists for breaking news.

She regularly appears on national and local TV and radio shows, including MSNBC, Fox News and C-SPAN Washington Journal.
