Take time off from the Navy — and keep your benefits

The Career Intermission Pilot Program, an underused program that gives sailors the chance to take up to three years off from the Navy to pursue education or raise a family, was renewed through fiscal 2015. I spoke with three people who participated in the program to find out what sailors can gain by pausing their career.
